For a company in the manufacturing sector, Relatech, thanks to the ReThing module of the RePlatform platform, has developed an Industrial IOT solution based on Industry 4.0 for the monitoring and optimization of energy consumption and predictive maintenance of the plants.
Thanks to the installation of instruments for measuring electrical parameters and thermodynamic probes (pressure, temperature and flow), data on energy production and consumption of raw materials (electricity and methane) were collected and the efficiency of energy production plants was calculated.
From the analysis of the collected data carried out thanks to the ReData module, it was possible to make available to the customer the graphs of the temporal trends of the energy requests of production and the consequent consumption. This has made it possible to reduce consumption by more precisely regulating the operation of the generators based on actual production requirements.
Furthermore, the collection of data from numerous devices scattered throughout the plant allows the monitoring of a large number of significant parameters, useful for monitoring their correct operation, planning routine maintenance more effectively and estimating the probability of certain faults in order to obtain supplies in advance of the relative spare parts (preventive and predictive maintenance).
